Provenant is pleased to announce a new exploratory partnership with Habitech, the Italian innovation hub focused on sustainable building and circular economy transformation. Together, the organisations will work to support the awareness, piloting and implementation of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) across Habitech’s network of member companies and organisations.
Through this collaboration, Provenant and Habitech aim organisations’ readiness for the upcoming Digital Product Passport mandate brought about by the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). Habitech and Provenant will work to enable companies to prepare for DPP compliance while also unlocking new opportunities for transparency, traceability, and circular value creation across their supply chains.
Digital Product Passports are expected to become a cornerstone of sustainable product policy in Europe, providing structured, accessible data on a product’s lifecycle, composition, environmental impact, and end-of-life pathways. For organisations that implement them effectively, DPPs can unlock a wide range of benefits, including improved supply chain visibility, enhanced customer trust, streamlined regulatory compliance, and new business models aligned with circular economy principles.
The collaboration will also connect with Habitech’s Greenmap programme, which supports companies (especially in the manufacturing sector) in measuring, managing, and improving their circular economy performance. By integrating Digital Product Passports into the Greenmap framework, participating organisations will be better equipped to translate sustainability data into actionable insights and measurable impact while also delivering more responsible and sustainable products.
“Digital Product Passports represent a significant shift in how product data is created, shared, and used across value chains,” said Matthew Ekholm, Commercial Director at Provenant. “Through our collaboration with Habitech, we’re looking forward to supporting organisations as they build the capabilities needed not only to comply with upcoming regulations, but to lead in a more transparent and circular economy.”
Laura Pighi, Chief Program Officer at Habitech, added: “At Habitech, we are committed to enabling our members to navigate the transition towards more sustainable and circular business models. Partnering with Provenant allows us to bring deep expertise in Digital Product Passports to our network, helping organisations turn regulatory challenges into opportunities for innovation and value creation.”
Organisations from Habitech’s network (or beyond) that are interested in learning more about Digital Product Passports or participating in upcoming pilot programmes are encouraged to get in touch with Provenant or Habitech.
